Inserting images in very easy using the WordPress media manager.

1. Place your cursor where the image should appear in your Page/Post
2. Click the  button
3. Choose from the Media Library, or upload new image(s)
4. Click on the image so a small tick appears in the top left of the image
5. Fill in the Title, Caption, Alt Text and Description of the image
6. Choose an alignment for the image
7. Choose a size for the image
8. Click on the Insert into post button

You can insert more than one image this way; in step 4 hold down the Ctrl key whilst clicking, you can then select multiple images. Remember to fill in the Titles etc. for each image.

• Title – is displayed as a tooltip when the mouse cursor hovers over the image in the browser
• Caption – is displayed underneath the image as a short description. How this is displayed displays on your active WordPress theme
• Alt Text – is displayed when the browser can’t display the image. It’s also help the visually impaired using screen readers – so it’s important to fill out this field with a description of the image.
• Description – is usually displayed on the attachment page for the media, however this again depends on your active theme.

Although you can use this method for multiple images it works best when dealing with single images, for multiple images it’s usually better to insert an image gallery.
