Caroline from Dapper Dogs asked if we could take a look at her website, which wasn’t generating enough business to warrant the expense of running it.

We took a quick look at the website which revealed that the actual product pages, which is what an e-commerce store mainly consists of, weren’t being listed by Google. The original website is built with WIX (a website builder), which uses flash for its websites. Unfortunately due to the construction of the website, the products were being displayed as a flash overlay on the screen – making them invisible to Google and the other search engines, making it hard for people for find the website when searching for products.

After a discussion on all things “Dapper Dogs” and a visit to their shop we came up with a new design, colours? well once you’ve visited Dapper Dogs you know it has to be pink! and this time built so every product will be indexed by Google and the other search engines giving them a much improved web presence.

The new website of course revolves around the shop, but there’s a lot more to Dapper Dogs than that, so the website will reflect this. Stanley (The Original Dapper Dog) will be making regular contributions to the blog, and will be giving his verdict on some his favorite products. Along with a gallery of visitors to the boutique, and their full range of grooming services finishes up the new site.
