Sussex based writer Ian Townsend contacted me looking for a simple, easy to use website that he could use to publish his works. Ian already writes for a few websites, and was pretty familiar with the workings of WordPress so it was an easy choice to use it to power his own website. Built on a responsive framework makes the site easily readable on whatever device is being used to view it.
We agreed early on that website needed to be as simple and clear as possible, with the words taking centre stage. Limiting the site to just two fonts, with just some subtle colour coding of the categories. Ian also asked for a simple logo, and being a Crawley Town supporter, red and white were easily chosen!
We added a Googlemap in the travel categories to give a visual indication of Ian’s travels as well as giving a different route for users to explore his travel articles.
