Having previously worked with Claudia on a couple of websites it was great to be asked if I could help again. This time around two Parishes were being combined, so the new website had to amalgamate the content of two existing sites.
One of the sites was the one i’d previously made with Claudia, and the other was very light on content (so not much to copy across).
I was supplied some fantastic graphics for the header of the website along with some branding guidelines from Fiona at Gone Fishing Design meaning I could spend less time of design and concentrate on getting the combined contents for the website into meaningful structures.
The new website uses the hierarchical nature of WordPress’s Pages to handle most of the content structure coupled with an events calendar plugin.
I noticed from the last website that a lot of images were taken from .pdf documents, something the websites owners had been doing manually. So this time around they can add in .pdf’s directly and have them display nicely in a viewer – meaning a lot less work for them.
