Local butcher moves onto the web.

Paul Tessier of Tessier’s Butchers contacted us after he’d decided he wanted to start promoting his traditional family butchers online.

Web Design for Chichester butchers.

The website design had to be in keeping with the businesses existing branding and we wanted the site to feel like an extension of the shop. Using a slate background for the “chalkboard” area and a natural “butchers block” background for much of the website we think keeps the whole website looking natural, earthy and traditional.

Product Photography.

Jonathan from Fridlington Photography supplied some great shots of Tessiers produce with the granite backgrounds working particularly well with the rest of the website. Tessiers produce changes regularly throughout the seasons so there will be lots more photographs being added over the course of the year.

Easily updated website.

As the produce of Tessiers changes so regularly the website needed to be flexible enough to allow for this. For Tessiers website we decided we’d utilise the open source project “Zencart”. This is very powerful e-commerce system that can be configured in a number of different ways. For Paul it means adding new categories and produce is easily accomplished by logging into the content management system.

A little extra information.

Paul also wanted to show where each cut of meat came from, so we supplied a set of images that he can use to illustrate this. We’re also looking forward to seeing some of Paul’s recipe ideas on the site in due course.
