PHL recently took over the management of two GP Practices, Park Lane Medical Centre and Staunton Surgery. The merger hopes to streamline administration and offer a wider range of services to patients of both practices.
A lot of time was spent merging the information contained in the separate websites and creating a more task based navigation system. I wanted this website to be as easy as possible for patients to use with clear indications of their options and nest steps.
Whilst building the website I got the Practice Managers involved at an early stage so I could get them used to logging in and editing things and ascertain whether further training was necessary.
The website is built using WordPress on a custom child theme of Twenty Twenty Three. This uses WordPress’s full site editor which means all parts of the website are easily editable. The child theme handles things like fonts, sizes, colours, layout widths etc.
The website features a lot of forms which are handled using the excellent Gravity Forms plugin.
Uptake on the new website been very good and I look forward to helping them in the future.
